Work for PROTECTIVE COATING in CIVIL

1) Surface Preparation
a. Surface preparation shall be in accordance to SAES-H003 (ARAMCO Standards No.).
2) Application of Primer Material
a. As per material technical data sheet from approved paint manufacturer (If required need to apply)
3) Applying of Concrete Protective Coating or as Specified in the Drawing.
a. As per material technical data from approved manufacturer, the total contents of the reactor component shall be poured into the base component and mixed thoroughly until the uniform color will appear.
b. Application shall be by brush and short hair roller. Each coat shall be applied giving total coverage of the prepared area and all materials shall be used within the working time as per the material data sheet. Each coat shall be applied within the recoat interval.

General below points you have to follow.

5) All reinforced concrete surfaces in direct contact with earth and as specified in standard drawing shall be coated in accordance with specification and manufacturer’s Recommendation (as required thickness).
6) The waterproofing barrier shall be capable of preventing direct contact between concrete and surrounding soil.
7) The Manufacturer of the protective coating shall provide technical supports and assistances.

Tools & Equipment PROTECTIVE COATING in CIVIL

1) All tools and equipment shall be inspected by HSE dept. in accordance with Specification and Requirements.
2) All of tools and equipment e.g. hand and power tools etc. require special attention and protection for their use and guidelines.
3) All damaged, unsafe or defective tools will be marked, tagged as Unsafe or with a Red Paint and taken away from operation to assure that no one will use such tools on the job.
4) Electrical tool and equipment shall be used in accordance with GFCI requirement.
