Check Valve Data Sheet | Piping Engineering
1. Scope
This data sheet shall be used in conjunction with SES P21, S01 to S04 series.
2. Completion Instructions
2.1 This data sheet shall be completed by SABIC and attached to the requisition/purchase order.
2.2 The required check valve shall be selected from the appropriate PIP Piping Material Specification Line
Class. It has a unique valve number designation, for example CH 102.
2.3 Using the material type for the line class, refer to the corresponding PIP Valve Description for that
material. These are:
a. Carbon Steel Check Valves – PIP PNSMV005
b. Low and Intermediate Alloy Steel Check Valves – PIP PNSMV015
c. Stainless Steel Check Valves – PIP PNSMV025
d. Bronze and Iron Check Valves – PIP PNSMV035
2.4 The valve description for the selected valve is in the relevant PIP section 7. The applicable line classes
are in the relevant PIP section 6.
2.5 Check the appropriate boxes in the Design section of the data sheet, using PIP valve description as a
standard, and making any necessary adaptions.
2.6 Specify the appropriate materials specifications in the Materials section of the data sheet, using the
relevant PIP.
2.7 Specify the appropriate trim number from the PIP. The trim numbers in PIP are selected from
applicable API codes.
2.8 Complete the data in the System Operating Conditions section of the data sheet, using information
from the project/process group.
2.9 Specify the required test pressures in the Inspection and Testing section of the data sheet.
2.10 Additional requirements shall be noted in the Other Requirements section.
