1. INTRODUCTION

The objective of this Article is to establish a clear idea about the Installation Of (EFFLUENT CLAY TREATRS). The document will also ascertain the equipments and methodology  required to complete the Installation of the Column.

CLAY TREATRS INSTALLATION PROCEDURE | METHOD STATEMENT

  1. Lifting will not commence unless the wind speed is less than the manufacturers recommendations and is not predicted to exceed it throughout the lifting window and safety margin.
  2. During the day, whilist in operation, the wind will be measured by the anemometer  located at the tip of the boom and displayed in the crane cabin. The speeds will be checked against that predicted with the appropriate measures taken.
  3. Position the SPMT with the equipment in the pre assigned area.
  4. Position the tailing Cranes and Main Crane in the assigned area as per the approved rigging study.
  5. The boom tips of both the cranes will be aligned above the lifting points of the equipments.
  6. The lifting tackles will be attached to the equipment as per the approved rigging study.
  7. Conformity of the rigging and prelifting activities will be checked by the lifting superintendent.
  8. Tag lines will be attached to the equipment.
  9. The verticality of the hoist ropes will be visually checked.
  10. A safety check will be carried to ensure all the lifting tackles are secure and the equipment is free from any loose items.
  11. Detach the lashing chains from the equipment and the supervisor need to ensure that all the lashing chains are detached from the equipment.
  12. After the confirmation from the Mechanical Contractor and the client, the equipment will be slowly lifted and is continuously checked as it slightly clears SPMT. The load will be monitored using the Crane’s SLI (Safe load indicator) and the lifting supervisor that is predicted.
  13. Confirmation to proceed with the operation will be approved by the lifting supervisor.
  14. Both cranes will start hoisting up until the equipment is clear from the SPMT.
  15. According to the signal from the supervisor, the SPMT will slowly move out from underneath the equipment.
  16. Tail crane will be set in free slew mode,
  17. According to the signal from the lifting supervisor, the Main crane will start hoisting up and booming down the tail crane and make the equipment vertical.
  18. Detach the lifting tackles from the tailing leg.
  19. The lifting supervisor shall ensure that it is safe to slew the equipment.
  20. The equipment will be slewed to the final location.
  21. According to the signal from the supervisor, the equipment will be lowered on the foundation.
