Material Selection Guide & Technical Specification

Galvanized lattice steel structure Poles shall be new and unused.
Poles shall be in accordance with the approved project specific design drawings, diagrams, schedules, lists, database, and associated design documents.
Poles shall be free from damage during transportation.
The Lattice Steel Pole shall be designed in accordance with ASCE Standard 10-97 “Design of Latticed Steel Transmission Structures”. (NEC 110.3 B,  ASCE  10-97)
Types of pole and configuration requirements shall be as specified in the Data Schedule.
All bolts, nuts and washers shall be furnished with the latest revisions of ASTM A394, ASTM A563 and ASTM F436 respectively.
The galvanizing of bolts, nuts, washers and pal nuts shall be in accordance with ASTM A153M.
All bolts, nuts and washers shall meet required mechanical properties after galvanizing.
All bolts, nuts, and washers shall be properly identified and marked with the material grade and manufacturer’s logo if required by respective ASTM standard. All fasteners not so marked shall be rejected.

A minimum of 5% extra quantities of each bolt size and length, including nuts and washers, shall be furnished for field erection.
