DESCRIPTION OF JOB/TASK: Grouting under base plates of equipment and structural support foundations.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT & PRECAUTIONS REQUIRED:
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Conduct safety meeting with the execution team the condition with the required precaution
• Orientation TSTI & ERP should be communicated
• Provide Fire watches man, Standby man. Provide Fire extinguisher.
• Caution Tape, Barricade around the area.

SEQUENCE OF BASIC JOB STEPS

Joint Site Inspection, Planning and Prepare the site for work • Unauthorized work
• Unwanted/loosed materials can cause persona
injury.
• Workers have no idea of the job on hand.
• Unauthorized entry
• Presence of hazardous atmosphere

Injuries can occur to the worker’s expose body
parts.

• Permit Issuer and permit receiver conduct the job site inspection.
HSE Department Take gas test.
• Provide caution tape , barricade around the area.
• Use Proper PPE.
• Provide certified/Trained Fire watch.
• Provide fire extinguisher.
• All equipment Shall be inspected and approved by HSE Department.
• Follow permit to work procedure and obtain applicable PTW for vehicle access.
• Personnel in the area should be aware of potential hazards.
• Barricade the area with posted signs to restrict unauthorized personnel from coming in 
• Close coordination meeting shall be held daily.
• Approved work permit shall be available before proceeding with the job. During construction period work permit system will be applied.

Job supervisor shall ensure that housekeeping has been conducted on the area prior to starting
activity.
• TSTI shall be carried out by the job supervisor emphasizing the hazards identified stated on the permit.
• TSTI ensure must be understand by all workers
• Personnel assigned to the tasks shall be experienced workers.
• All personnel working on site shall wear.

• Hand Tools preparation and inspection. • Using damage or fabricated tools can cause
physical injury.
• Can cause physical injuries when used without
proper inspection and certification equipment.
• Prior to work all tools shall be inspected for safe usage. Damage tools are to be removed from site. Fabricated tools are not to be used. Use only tools fitted for the job.
• All tools shall be inspected before using and proper color coded. Equipment’s shall be certified as per SA standards.
• Handling of Grouting Material Improper handling of grouting material resulting in injury or health risks.
• Slips Trips or Falls
• Handle all grouting material with care and avoid to contact with skin and eye.
• Ensure equipment will be inspected by HSE Department and set properly.
• Use appropriate hand, face, feet, respirator and body protection equipment.
• Proper Ventilation in the area for grouting handling to be included.
• Grouting material to be kept in proper and dry place.
• Ensure all material kept out to prevent unnecessary tripping hazard.

• Workers can suffer Irritating to eyes, respiratory system skin irritation, muscle pain, body cramps etc. during the entire activity

• Equipment to be used shall be inspected and approved by HSE Department before its mobilization on site.
• All Equipment’s operators shall be certified  by Company and record shall be submitted to JGC DAEWOO HSE Department for approval.
• Prior to its operation as a minimum requirement, operator shall visually inspect his equipment.
• Ensure all workers shall be use proper Protective coveralls good quality gloves, goggles and face mask.
Job supervisor shall ensure that only experienced personnel are to engage in the activity.
• Grouting mixer machines shall maintain minimum clearance distances from edge of excavation.
• The wheels of grouting mixer machine shall be chocked to prevent movement.
• A flagman or spotter shall be assigned.
Job supervisor shall educate his crew the proper body positioning to avoid body stressed and avoid contacting to skin and eye..
• Polyethylene sheet with hessian burlaps shall be kept wet to prevent it from getting on fire.
• After curing time all flammable curing materials are to be removed immediately and taken out of site.
• Working in adverse weather condition or sandstorm • Personnel may suffer heat stress related
sickness during hot season.
• Dehydration
• Sand particles can cause eye irritation
Job supervisor shall make sure that regular supply of water is available and complete checklist and record shall be maintain by HSE department.
• Ensure frequent rest cycle to be implemented 30 minutes work 10 minutes rest.
• Cold water and drinking cups shall be available all the time.
• Safety goggles or safety glass with sidings shall be used.
• Stoppage of work if bad weather conditions.
• Housekeeping • Debris causing slips, trips and falls • After the activities all equipment’s tools and garbage shall be collected and stored, disposed properly.
• Housekeeping shall be done before ,during and after every activity.
• Regular housekeeping shall be performed.
• Adequate and correct stacking of materials.
• Regular inspection and immediate corrective action.
