7.2 Removal and Installation Method

7.2.1 Before commencing work, checked and confirm the location. The location of activity should be at D25P11 Grid Line E4.
7.2.2 Excavate the area. From face of concrete column offset at least 1m wide from area of excavation and must have at least an slope of 45°. See attachment B for detail.

7.2.3 Install scaffold as required. (by others) 7.2.4 Chipped concrete column pedestal as illustrated in attachment B. Remove anchor bolts.
7.2.5 If required chipped portion is attained and anchor bolts are removed, clean the chipped column and remove laitance or damaged concrete with chipping gun or hammer.
7.2.6 After cleaning on chipped concrete on pedestal damaged coating on rebar will be repaired by approved coating procedure and inspected prior to commence further civil concrete work. (by others)
7.2.7 WTS/Handover to GLISAN for installation of required formworks. Forms shall be substantial and sufficiently tight to prevent leakage of mortar from the concrete. Studs, wales, or shores are properly spliced. Forms shall result in a final structure that conforms to shapes, lines, and dimensions of the members as required by the IFC drawings. Forms are properly braced or tied together to maintain position and shape and to prevent of movement of any part of the formwork system during concreting.
7.2.8 Formwork surfaces must be clean and no traceability of mortar, grout, and any foreign materials before concrete placement. Chamfer strips (minimum of 20mm) are placed
in corners of formwork to produce beveled edges on permanently exposed surfaces. Unless otherwise specified, reentrant corners or edges of formed joints of concrete are not beveled. (ACI 301-2010, Sec. 2.3.1.2)

7.2.9 WTS/Handover to ARCC for installation of anchor bolts as per IFC drawings. Check projection, location, orientation, verticality, elevation and condition. Installed anchor bolt should be secured enough not to move while on concreting stage.

7.2.10 WTS/Handover to GLISAN prior for concreting, inspection shall be done as per applicable SATIP and Saudi Aramco Standards.
