HART Pressure Calibration and Zero Calibration of Pressure Transmitter

•Almost identical to analog transmitter connections

–HART cable connection required for digital adjustment.

•Configure the Calibrator.

•Acquire the test parameters (HART Query).

•Configure the input/output of the calibrator.

•Define the test parameters.

a)Acquire HART Configuration b) Configure the measure and source function of calibrator c) Define the performance test

Calibration-As Found Test

•Document the pre-adjustment transmitter condition

Calibration- Digital Adjustment

•Perform HART trim on the transmitter

As Left Test

•Verify post adjustment condition of transmitter

•If still Out Of Tolerance (OOT)

–Repeat adjustment

–Re-run as-left until it passes within tolerance

•If it cannot be satisfactorily adjusted…

BASIC CALIBRATION FUNCTIONS IN FLUKE PROCESS HART CALIBRATOR

HART means Highway addressable remote transducer. It is hybrid (analog plus digital) open protocol for instrumentation industry . This HART is alternative to 4-20 mA signal and superimposed on 4-20 mA signal with additional indformation. This is called HART commmunication protocol.
