Handling Checklist
- General Handling – All material shall be checked for damage by store yard personnel prior to acceptance of shipment, unloading, or handling. No visible shipping or handling damage. [Typical Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of Manufacturer O’Brien Tracepak Instructions]
- Special Handling – Shipper and receiving store yard personnel shall be fully aware of manufacturer’s special handling instructions (if provided on the material boxes or in the purchase documents) prior to unloading or handling.[ Typical Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of Manufacturer O’Brien Tracepak Instructions]
- Please see Attachment 1 for typical handling of drums and bending.[ Typical Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of Manufacturer O’Brien tracepak Instructions].
- Tubing should never be dragged out of a tubing rack or across a rough surface. [ Typical Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of Manufacturer O’Brien Tracepak Instructions]
- Tube cutters or hacksaws should be sharp. Do not take deep cuts with each turn of the cutter or stroke of the saw. [ Typical Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of Manufacturer O’Brien Tracepak Instructions]
- Tube ends should be Deburred. This helps to ensure that the tubing will go all the way through the ferrules without damaging the ferrule sealing edge. [Typical Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of Manufacturer O’Brien Tracepak Instructions]
