1. Scope
The pipe support standard drawings in this standard shall be used in conjunction with SES P01-E06.

3. General
3.1 Standard pipe supports listed in this standard are pre-engineered for selection within the window for
allowable loads provided in SES P01-E06.
3.2 See the selection charts in SES P01-E06 for application.
3.3 All hardware shall be selected from a manufacturer that conforms to MSS SP-58.

Notes:
(1) Weld size shall be ‘W’ or pipe wall thickness, whichever is smaller.
(2) See Detail 104 for allowable loads.
(3) See Detail 100 to 103 for application.

DETAIL 501
Axial Restraint for Uninsulated CS Pipe NPS 6 to 24

Notes:
(1) Weld size shall be ‘W’ or pipe wall thickness whichever is smaller. Weld flange of I-beam
only on one side to maintain 1.5 mm clearance.
(2) See Detail 104 for allowable loads.
(3) See Detail 100 to 103 for application.
(4) Pad may be required for sizes over NPS 16, see Detail 300 for pad details.
Pad material shall be same as pipe material.

Axial Restraint for Heat Insulated Pipe NPS  3/4 to 4 in CS and Alloy Steel
Notes:

(1)  Weld size shall be ‘W’ or pipe wall thickness whichever is smaller.

(2) See Detail 104 for allowable loads.
(3) See Detail 100 to 103 for application.
(4) For pipe size NPS ¾ to 2 no shoe shall be required. Cut insulation 225 mm from
either side of the support. Install pad as needed.
