Intruder Detection System Installation & Commissioning Checklist
- Verify that the selected Intruder Detection System is approved by Industrial Security and the Secretariat, Supreme Commission for Industrial Security.
- Insure that the contractor comply with the requirements of SAES T-634 for cable testing and acceptance.
- Insure that the contractor comply to safeguard and warning devices and personal protective during installation.
- Insure that the contractor used the approved seal or fire stop for entrance conduits, slots and sleeves.
- Ensure that for optical fiber, the minimum bend radius of 10 times the cable diameter is maintained.
- Ensure that cable pathways are more than 0.3 m (1 ft) from conduit and cables used for electrical power distribution (220, 120 V).
- Ensure that cable pathways are more than 12 cm (5 in.) from fluorescent lighting
- Verify that cable test results are recorded and made available to the inspection and proponent department for review. Test result shall be submitted with the As built documentation.
- Ensure that systematic methods and procedures for proper labeling and management of bonds are followed.
