Intruder Detection System Installation & Commissioning Checklist

  1. Verify that the selected Intruder Detection System is approved by Industrial Security and the Secretariat, Supreme Commission for Industrial Security.
  2. Insure that the contractor comply with the requirements of SAES T-634 for cable testing and acceptance.
  3. Insure that the contractor comply to safeguard and warning devices and personal protective during installation.
  4. Insure that the contractor used the approved seal or fire stop for entrance conduits, slots and sleeves.
  5. Ensure that for optical fiber, the minimum bend radius of 10 times the cable diameter is maintained.
  6. Ensure that cable pathways are more than 0.3 m (1 ft) from conduit and cables used for electrical power distribution (220, 120 V).
  7. Ensure that cable pathways are more than 12 cm (5 in.) from fluorescent lighting
  8. Verify that cable test results are recorded and made available to the inspection and proponent department for review. Test result shall be submitted with the As built documentation.
  9. Ensure that systematic methods and procedures for proper labeling and management of bonds are followed.
