The Site Manager ensures that the Site QC Section are provided with the necessary facilities and cooperation from all Supervisor, Foreman and Labor to enable satisfactory inspection and verification of activities performed by the site civil section.

4.2 Site Engineer

The Site Engineer has the overall responsibility for the implementation of work as per approved drawings. He shall arrange the manpower, equipment and materials required for the implementation of the works, coordinate with HSE Officer and QA/QC Site Manager involved in the tasks in accordance to the method statement.

4.3 Safety Supervisor

The Safety Supervisor ensures that all safety management will be enforced in a ways to prevent injury to personnel, damage to Plant and/or equipment and fires.

4.4 Civil Supervisor and/or Foremen

The Civil Supervisor and/or Foremen are solely responsible the construction of concrete structures assuring all materials installed permanently and works being implemented are in conformance with specifications and approved drawings.

4.5 QC Manager/QC supervisor

He is responsible to ensure the full implementation of the required minimum quality requirements, Procedures and maintain the required documentation as per applicable company inspection and test Plan for the final acceptance and handover of documents.

4.6 QC Civil Inspector

The QC Civil Inspector shall ensure that approved quality control procedure is implemented throughout the course of construction. Inspection shall be done on materials or work, which will be incorporated to the permanent structure. He shall coordinate with Contractor Representative regarding inspection and testing activities. Documentation of all inspection and tests shall also be his responsibility.

5. MATERIALS & TOOLS

5.1 Plaster Accessories

Below mentioned plastering accessories shall be used as per approved IFC drawings & MAR.
a. Angle Bead
b. Plaster Stop
c. Architrave Bead
d. Movement Bead – coil lath, corner mesh, sheet lath, strip mesh etc.

5.2 Premix cement based plaster

As per approved MAR, PROP LAST CM 100 shall be used for CMU wall plastering

5.3 Tools:

Wood float, steel trowel, aluminum straight edge, plumb, power mixer/drill

6. WORK PROCEDURE FOR CEMENT PLASTERING

6.1 Protection & Working Platform:

6.1.1 General: Protect contiguous work from moisture deterioration and soiling which may result from plastering operation. Provide temporary covering and other provisions as necessary to minimize harmful spattering of plaster on other works.
6.1.2 Finished door frames and other surfaces which do not receive plaster shall be well protected during plaster application.
6.1.3 Ensure proper working platform, scaffolding and tools are arranged on site as per ARAMCO requirement.

6.2 Environmental Condition

6.2.1 General: Protect plaster against uneven and excessive evaporation and from strong flows of dry air, both natural and artificial. Apply and cure plaster as required by climatic condition to prevent rapid dry-out.
6.2.2 Temperature: Carry out plaster works when the air temperature is within the range of 13 to 35°C. Maintain temperature in a uniform range above 13 deg C for an adequate period prior to application of plaster, while plaster is being applied, and until plaster is dry. For temperature greater than 35 “C follow manufacturer’s recommendation.

6.3 Substrate Inspection

6.3.1 The contractor shall check the substrate and the conditions under which the plaster work shall be carried out and correct any unsatisfactory condition. Do not proceed with the work until unsatisfactory conditions are corrected in a manner accepted to the Company.
6.3.2 Prior to plaster works, carefully inspect the installed work of all other section and verify that all such work is complete to the point where the plastering may properly commence. Release note shall be arranged from other disciplines.
6.3.3 Ensure the finished plaster will be true to line, level and plumb without requiring additional thickness of plaster. Maximum variation of surface to receive plaster shall be as per SAES-M-100 sec.c.3 from the required plane when measured with straight edge.
6.4 Installation of Accessories

6.4.1 General

a) Set beads, level, plumb and true to line with a tolerance as mentioned in SAES M-100 sec.C.3 or SAIC-M-1009.
b) At plaster termination, provide casing beads with integral closure.
6.4.2 Install corner beads at all corners of exterior and interior works.
6.4.3 Install metal casing beads where shown and at the following location.
a) At opening and termination of plaster finish where edge of plaster otherwise exposed.
b) Where plaster abuts finish and termination is not lapped by the other finish, leave 10mm wide pocket for sealant and exterior works, unless otherwise indicated.
c) Where plaster abuts door frames, leave 10mm wide pocket for sealant on exterior works.
6.4.4 Install one piece control joint expansion where distance natural interruption or expansion joints in the work exceed 9.0m either direction.

6.5 Installation of Plaster

6.5.1 Priming:

• For concrete blocks(CMU) :
o The substrate should be soaked with water 1 to 2 hrs. prior to application to provide a saturated surface dry condition.

6.5.2 Mixing:

• Mixing shall be done by mechanically powered mixer for 3-5 minutes until homogeneous mix is achieved.
• Use 4.8 to 5.2 liters of water per 25 kg of Proplast CM100.

• Do not mix material in quantities which cannot be applied with in the flow time of product.

6.5.3 Applications:

• Prior to application ensure all surfaces are saturated an surface dry.
• Leveling pads shall be installed to guide true line & level of plaster. Ensure that minimum plaster thickness 15mm is achieved at all location.
• Application of plaster mix shall be done manually by trowels.
• Finishing & Leveling shall be done by aluminum straight edge.
• Final finishing shall be done by steel trowel to densify and polish the surface.

6.5.4 Curing :

• Three days curing should be maintained with water at least three times per day as per manufacturer recommendations.

6.5.5 Cutting & Patching:

Coordinate with other trades in locating and installing work specified in other section. Cut, patch, repair and point-up plaster as required or necessary to accommodate other works. Repair cracks and indented surfaces. Point-up surfaces  around items which are built into or penetrate plaster surfaces. Repair or replace the work to eliminate blister, buckles, craze cracking, dry out, efflorescence, sweat outs and similar imperfections.

6.6 Cleaning and Protection

Remove temporary covering and whatever other provisions were made to minimize spattering of plaster in other works. Promptly remove plaster from door frames and other surfaces which shall not be plastered. Repair surfaces which have been stained, marked or otherwise damaged during plastering works. When plastering works is completed, remove unused materials, containers, equipment, and plaster debris.

7. QUALITY CONTROL & INSPECTION PLAN

All materials, workmanship and inspection shall conform to all Saudi Aramco Typical Inspection Plan, Saudi Aramco Inspection Checklist, Construction Specification, Standard Drawings and IFC Drawings.

8. SITE HEALTH & SAFETY

The work shall be executed in accordance with the approved safety plan. Work permit shall be obtained prior to any commencement of the work when required.
