Telecommunication Equipments Material Selection Criteria
- Verify that all received premise equipment are inspected for damage and for conformance to all applicable requirements, including the supplier inspection release with verified Material Test Reports (MTR).
- Verify that the premise equipment procedures for handling, storage, and preservation of material as specified in all applicable specifications, manufacturer recommendations and International codes and standards.
- Verify that the premise equipment and accessories received comply with applicable standards and specifications prior to release to be used as part of the work.
- Verify that the premise equipment and accessories are in accordance with the approved project-specific design drawings, diagrams, schedules, lists, databases, and associated design documents.
- Verify and ensure that the received premise equipment matches the purchase order and labeled with part number and product description.
- Components shall comply with project requirements and specification.
- All radio equipments that are mentioned in this standard must conform to all government requirements for importation of radio telecommunication equipment into the Kingdom.
- Verify that VHF/UHF radio systems operated in classified areas is certified by Factory Mutual Research Corp.(FM) or any other association listed in paragraph 5.2.2 of SAES-P-100, “”Basic Power System Design
- Criteria”” for either: Class 1, Division 1, Gas Groups C&D (Ethylene & Propane).
Class 1, Division 2, Gas Groups A, B, C & D (Acetylene, Hydrogen, Ethylene & Propane). Or
Class 1, Zone 1, Gas Groups IIb (Ethylene & Propane).
Class 1, Zone 2, Gas Groups IIc (Acetylene, Hydrogen, Ethylene & Propane).” - Verify that the communications base station antennas conforms with the minimum standard is per EIA/TIA 329-B.
and the Vehicular Antennas is as per EIATIA 329-B-1.” - Ensure that traceability of the premise equipment is maintained as specified in International codes and standards and manufacturer’s specifications throughout fabrication, erection, installation, repair, modification and use of the item.
