Differential Pressure Transmitter Commissioning Checklist
Following are checklist points for pressure transmitter commissioning.
- Verified per specification sheet.
- Orifice/nozzle in line and facing right direction.
- Level taps correct to data sheet.
- Installation as process piping hookup.
- Installation as pneumatic piping hookup.
- Sealed lines/seal pots/condensate installed at same elevation.
- Sensing lines piped to correct tap.
- HP tap
- LP tap
- Instrument accessible.
- Zero and span adjustment
- Terminals
- Dampening and linearity adjustment
- Instrument correctly supported.
- Environment OK. No excess vibration, heat, or splash.
- Range checked with manometer or deadweight. Output correct/action correct.
- Zero checked at operating pressure.
- Air supply:
- Provided
- Air set blown down
- Set at correct pressure
- Shutoff provided
- Output passed through full range. Valve and/or receiver responds/action correct.
- Sensing and/or transmission lines leak checked.
- Wiring continuity checked.
- Wiring polarity checked.
- Instrument traced/purged. System checked to standard.
- Cleaned for oxygen service.
