1 Scope

This article provides methods for installing instrument signal and power wiring between field devices and junction boxes (JB).

4 Field Devices Cabling to Junction Boxes Installation

4.1 General

4.1.1 Instrument electrical installation details shall be in accordance with SES-R11-C02.
4.1.2 Cable trays installation shall be in accordance with SES-E01-C00.
4.1.3 For intrinsically safe instrument installation refer to SES-R01-E03.
4.1.4 The signal segregation and cable separation shall be in accordance with SES-X05-E01.
4.1.5 Conduit and cable sealing requirements shall be as per the area classifications. Refer to NFPA 70 article 501 for details.
4.1.6 Two types of wiring installation method can be applied for field devices:

a. Non-armored cable from the field devices to the JB via conduit.
b. Armored cable from the field devices to the JB via cable tray.

4.1.7 The selection of wiring installation type shall be decided by Company.
