Transmission Equipment Installation and Commissioning Checklist
- Verify the location of the equipments being installed is in accordance with the approved IFC Floor Diagram drawings.
- Verify and ensure the minimum working clearance of 91 cm is provided in front of the equipment and sufficient access space is provided in the rear of the equipment rack to allow access for maintenance purposes.
- Verify and ensure that the communication bonding conductor used for bonding & grounding the equipment racks is an insulated (green) no. 6 AWG.
- Inspecting solid connections of wires and grounds to insure safety and proper operation.
- Verifying the operating frequencies of transmitters and receivers.
- Verifying RF power of transmitter and confirming coverage area of base station.
- Checking RF cable and antenna matching and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio, VSWR.
- 7.5 Checking Signal-to-Noise Ratio, SINAD, for receiver systems.
- Verify that the instructions issued by the manufacturer are followed unless specific exceptions or deviations are noted in writing and/or on the installation / construction drawings.
