Material Storage
Verify that materials are properly identified and stored in assigned locations and segregated by lot number (when required). Ensure that storage areas are assessed to assure proper storage methods and to detect deterioration.
Verify that the material storage and protection is as per Manufacturer’s recommendation.
Material Handling
Verify that material are protected from damage at the allocated storage area. Special handling requirements shall be processed per established procedures and/or documented instructions.
Material Preservation
Verify that materials or products are maintained in an appropriate environment to prevent damage or degradation. Preservation methods shall include, but are not limited to segregation of the material or product, controlling the storage environment and proper inventory control as per the approved procedure.
